Abby and Bradley’s Oregon family farm was such a dream! The two met in college and from there, their relationship blossomed. After getting engaged they decided to get married at both a meaningful and beautiful location: Abby’s parent’s flower farm in Scappoose, Oregon. The farm is rented out to flower vendors and since they were planning a late summer wedding, there were endless fields of flowers available to use for couple’s portraits. Abby’s family has never used the farm for a wedding so it was really special to see the transformation and how beautiful everything looked on Abby and Bradley’s day.
We started the day with getting ready photos. Abby’s sister helped her with the finishing touches by tying up the ribbons on her shoes while Bradley finished getting ready in a separate room. We all met up in the flower fields for their first look followed by private vows and couple portraits. These moments are often some of the most intimate and special moments of a wedding day.
After Abby and Bradley had some time alone together, it was on to family photos and the ceremony. After the ceremony, we spent some more time taking photos with friends before heading to the reception for dinner. Bradley and Abby’s dad had gone fishing and caught all the chinook salmon that was served that night for dinner. The couple also named their cocktail drinks after different people in the family, which I also loved.
After dinner, the three of us snuck away for sunset portraits. Abby’s A&BE’ dress had detachable sleeves, giving a whole new look to her wedding outfit. One thing I loved while taking Abby and Bradley’s photos was that the couple had fun with the poses. We had done engagement photos earlier in the year and they had remembered some of the poses, making their wedding day portraits so much more fun and relaxed.
This Oregon family farm wedding was so, so dreamy! Being from the PNW, Abby and Bradley love nature and the outdoors and they wanted their wedding day to be minimal, focusing on the flowers and the beauty of the venue. They kept things simple and executed their vision perfectly, just the way any wedding should be! For more PNW intimate wedding inspiration, check out this Gold Creek Pond Elopement in Washington.
