One of the sweetest things I see at weddings is when couples incorporate meaningful memories into their wedding day. For Sydney and Michael, their venue held a very special place in their hearts. Keep reading to learn more about how Sydney and Michael planned their intimate ski lodge wedding.

Sydney and Michael met in 2014 while working at Mission Ridge Ski Resort although they didn’t start dating until a couple of years later when they left for college. Having come from the same town, the two started hanging out at college and would even drive home for the holidays together.

Even though Sydney and Michael are complete opposites, somehow things just fit together perfectly! While celebrating their 5-year anniversary in Portland, Michael popped the question and of course, Sydney said yes!

For their ski lodge wedding, the couple chose a very special venue in Wenatchee, WA; the old ski lodge where they first met. They invited a handful of their closest loved ones and brought everyone together in the place where it all started.

If I could describe this ski lodge wedding in one word it would be fun! The couple was all smiles all day long from their first look, to their ceremony, to their reception.

For their ceremony exit, Sydney and Michael had all their guests participate in a petal toss. Everyone threw flower petals at them and it was a great way to switch up the traditional end-of-night exit.

Sydney, who is an amazing baker, also made all the desserts and cupcakes that they served at the reception. I mean, just look at those sweets!!

Getting married in such a special place definitely made Sydney and Michael’s ski lodge wedding even sweeter. The whole day was so beautiful seeing the couple’s happy faces truly was the cherry on top.
