Best Time of Year to Get Married at Leach Botanical Garden
If you want to make the most out of the garden with as many flowers blooming as possible, you’ll want to shoot for Spring and summer. The garden has a focus on native plants and Spring is the best season to see them. The photos included in this post are from a wedding shot in mid-June when pink flowers were blooming on many of the trees.
If you prefer the gorgeous oranges and reds of Fall you may want to pick a date in October instead, when the air is perfectly crisp but not too cold, and you have all the colors of Fall on the trees.
However if you’re wanting a snow covered outdoor wedding that can be a little bit trickier as snow in Portland can be a bit more random and isn’t guaranteed. You may want a location closer to Mount Hood if a Winter wedding complete with falling snow is what you’re looking for.

Final Tips for Getting Married at Leach Botanical Garden
I recommend getting ready at an airbnb nearby as the traffic in Portland can get pretty hectic, especially in the summer months when there’s usually construction going on. Choose an airbnb with lots of natural light options that you may also be happy doing your first look at. You can opt to book a package to have dinner at the Leach Botanical Garden with your guests, or save by reserving a space at Migration Brewing and enjoy post ceremony burgers and brews.
